Uff that ending was really cute, opening of this season is also one of my favourites. About Manga, its all depends on your "thirst" to read ahead, sometimes especially in heavy plot based titles its hard to wait without knowing what's next if material is there. My personal best feeling is when i read really good manga and after 1-2+ years its getting amazing adaptation, so i can not only refresh my memory but also "rewatch it" with decent animation's and music, like Chainsawman for example, is title like that for me right now. There are also manga titles like Berserk or Gantz which had either shitty or short/old adaptation's that covered only 5-10% of manga and without reading it you will never experience them most likely, and those two are absolute top's Berserk is Top1 manga on majority of most popular sites, shame it never got and probably never will get full-decent adaptation.
