Code Geass Season 2 Episode 25 Full Length Reaction

You're actually gonna be confused if you go in blind to the movie because it's not a traditional sequel. There is actually more Code Geass content, and also technically a sequel, the movie you talked about, called "Re;surrection" (emphasis on "technically," and I'll explain). Keep in mind the stuff in this paragraph take place in an alternate timeline, because the story of the anime's 2 seasons, is in fact over. So there are 3 recap movies: "Initiation," "Transgression," and "Glorification" (non of the 3 are english dubbed). These are recap movies, so the majority of the scenes in the recaps are like 90% the same as the 2 seasons. However, there are some differences from the TV version that essentially set up the recap-trilogy as an alternative timeline, which leads up to the new movie " Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection" (this one has an english dub). You can find all 4 movies on amazon prime, but you have to buy/rent them... and "Re;surrection" might be available on Netflix, but I could be wrong. "Re;surrection" takes place after the recap-trilogy's version of Season 2's events. While the ideal is that you watch the recap-trilogy to fully understand the changes, it's understandably boring to watch what is mostly a summary of a show that you just finished (but if you decide to watch the recaps, you probably don't need to bother reacting to them, since many fans skip it and only care about "Re;surrection"). You can, if you want to, jump to "Re;surrection," and you will still mostly understand what is happening.... but the major difference you will notice soon enough is that a certain side-character who died in the TV version is alive, so just keep in mind that "Re;surrection" takes place in a slightly altered version of the TV anime's story. There is more Code Geass content coming up, with a new anime series having already been announced, but no release date has been revealed as of yet.... but it can be assumed that it's most likely a sequel to what can be called the "Re;surrection timeline." If you're really curious and want to skip to "Re;surrection," I'll say the biggest differences of the recaps in my own reply to this comment, but of course approach my reply with caution if you're actually interested in watching the recaps yourself. There's also a sidestory series in Funimation called "Code Geass: Akito the Exiled" which takes place between Season 1 and 2, and has a totally different cast of characters, but this probably won't win any polls, though I still suggest watching them in your own time.

SPOILERS for the recaps if you want to skip them: The Mao arc never happens in the recaps, so the string of events leading to the death of Sh****y never happens. Said character is still alive in "Re;surrection." The final recap movie also has a small scene at the end credits where C.C. wonders to herself what to do next: "Hey, Lelouch. Should I wait for you to fulfill your promise? Or am I supposed to continue wandering through time?" Her dialogue implying that she's not satisfied with the way things turned out at the end of the story, which leads to the events of "Re;surrection."

Code Geass have one of the best endings in anime, Also here is Original Japanese ending of the series (the scene with C2 at the end), yes they changed it, when i was watching Code Geass first time i also had this ending, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nf4sxmxQF00 Please let Anthony see this.

You guys should limit the next poll to 5-6 options instead of 9+ like last time, i think its way too much currently, im not saying to resign from the least popular options from last poll, since if i remember correctly Vinland Saga was in three polls before it won and on first it was like 8-10% only so choose what you like from synopsis etc. Also Mushoku Tensei still one of the best titles out there worth watching.

Great reaction to one of the greatest anime! Thanks!

Yes, even on the newest comments under this video, you can see people commenting that when they saw it frist time long time ago, that was the ending, same was for me, but they actually changed it, since author wanted viewers to "decide" ending. I doubt someone faked ending and let it play on TV and many other sites.

Lelouch looks like he's edited in. The tv channel's watermark on the top right of the screen also disappears when "lelouch" appears. And I think it's easy to fall for this since people might just be misremembering the scene and confusing it with their interpretation of the story at the time they first watched this, which would have been many years ago.

You might be right it was too long ago for me to be sure 100%. But even if its "fake" its still more realistic since Lelouch should be alive. Person have to give up his geass to have code (geass is exchanged with code) if you kill someone from whom you have the contract in Lelouch case it will be C2 but Charles geass is gone because he killed and took V2 code from whom he took geass contract therfore Charles doesn't possess geass but Lelouch kills Charles and Lelouch now have C2 geass and V2 code. THEREFORE ITS CALLED CODE GEASS BECAUSE LELOUCH HAS BOTH. Also People forget the whole paper crane thing:Nunally said at the start of the series:If you made a 1000 cranes, your wish will come true And what do we see on the cart?that's right.Nunally found out that Lelouch is alive and immortal, and left him a crane as a good luck charm or something.

Respect to you for kinda figuring out what Lelouch was up to, I think you were the first reactors I watched that did (And I certainly didn't either xD)! Also: I personally 100% see Lelouch as dead here. I mean the entire point of this ending - and the show itself - was that great achievements require great sacrifices. You don't always get to have your cake and eat it too, that's just how live is! Lelouch said in the very first episode: "The only people who should kill are those prepared to die themselves!" So the fact that he followed through on his own words and sacrifieced not only himself but his entire reputation for the greater cause is what makes him such a great character and redeems him in my eyes. Because it shows that at the very end he truly believed in his cause and wanted it to suceed even at the cost of his own life and happines. It showed that he'd finally decided that he wanted to do this not for himself, but for everyone else in the world. To me to assume he'd pull some underhanded trick or something to get out of this alive is just the biggest insult to him and everything he stood for in the end!

I’ve always assumed he was alive.

There was a huge debate for years about this ending. There was faked animation, by a fan, showing Lelouch as the cart driver. There were theories about Lelouch receiving Charle’s code of immortality and it activating when he was stabbed. There’s fans who love Lelouch and don’t want this to be the end of his story ….And there’s very passionate people who want to look at the show 100% as it was written with no interpretation or theorizing. At Anime NYC in 2019, the writer of Code Geass had everyone raise their hand if they thought Lelouch was dead or alive. It was a 50/5 split. The writer then said it was done on purpose - leaving it up to the fans. BUT he’s also said, in earlier interviews, that Lelouch dying was the plan from day one. So even the writer’s own words are hard to trust there. Seems to change depending on where/when he is speaking. Like another person said, the Recap movies are 90% the same as the show. You can skip them and go right to resurrection. Just know that the recap movies had to cut some storylines because they were trimming 50 episodes into three different 2Hr movies. As such, Shirley isn’t dead. Almost all of her storylines, which were largely unimportant to the main plot, were cut.

Are they gonna watch the movie?
