the pretty girl, Kiyoko, is the manager for the team. schools in japan have 3 years in highschool. Sugawara, Daichi, Tanaka and Kiyoko are all third years, so this is their last year on the team. im not actually sure what exactly the team manager does but from the anime i've seen it seems like pretty much every schools sports team has one, I assume they just generally help around for organization and stuff.
