You two clearly missed the jab Summer takes at 20:31. You seen it but didn't understand it. Because you didn't suffer that long ass wait. (Like with the wait for The Umbrella Academy.) That jab wasn't aimed at Rick and Morty but at the show creators Dan and Justin. Back then the show was running late and the showrunners were working out a deal to get the show more than just another season. Dan Harmon said this was why they were holding out for a bigger contract. So they could focus on giving us a great show and not have to take 20 other jobs to pay the bills and return Rick and Morty as a passion project when they had free time. Rumors flooded the net, with one rumor was that Dan and Justin were fighting each other and that's why the show was late. With many rumors, there can be a little truth behind them and Dan and Justin clearly have no trouble taking jabs at themselves. I mean that is what Rick and Morty is really all about. Being able to take a jab and be comfortable with our own flaws. A lesson some never learn in our growing Snowflake factory.
