Yeah, from now on, every half-season there'll be a new opening and closing. Which makes sense, the previous opening was heavily based on the Sports Fest. Would be weird to keep using it now that its over. This new opening is actually my favorite out of them all. You're right about Gran Torino being a Star Wars reference, but he's actually meant to be more of a Yoda figure. Recall from Empire Strikes Back that Yoda spends a bit of time messing with Luke first before showing off that he really is a wise master, just like Torino did here.

True, a new opening for a new arc. This opening is probably not in my top mha openings but it's still good.

The writer of My hero is inspired by Akira a huge successful anime movie. Know to be Kanye Wests favorite movie of all time. He also is a huge Star Wars fan so you'll see a lot of Easter eggs for names and places that will have names from Star Wars. But his biggest inspiration is the Creator of Naruto. Hes a huge fan boy of Naruto and got a lot of ideas and characters similarities from Naruto. The creator of Naruto is like his Teacher or Sensei in the manga business

Horikoshi, the creator of this series is a huge fan of western media. Star Wars and Superheroes play a huge role in his influences. So yes, Gran Torino is basically yoda!
