I dont blame you guys for not knowing the demon boy was a 12 kuzuki member is off the bat. I personally dont mind if you dont remember every detail they mention in every episode since I couldn't either when I was watching weekly. Anyways, I LOVED your reaction, and Im happy I get to watch the series a second time with you guys!!

The 12 Kizuki consists of 2 divisions, Upper 6 and Lower 6. The Upper 6 which are ranks 1-6 are way stronger than the Lower 6 demons, Rui was Lower 5 which means hes the 11th in ranking so this guy is nothing compared to the Upper Demons :D that is all ima say about that.

A detail about Tanjiro's life flashing and remembering that fire dance from his dad, I really like how it was foreshadowed by Shinobu (butterfly demon slayer) talking about it with Zenitsu earlier in the episode. She said something along the lines of a myth about "when faced with near death, people quickly flash back to their memories of their entire life to find a particular memory of an experience that could help them escape death." Its an interesting theory, and glad it was put in to make Tanjiro's fire breathing feel less like an ass pull. It still could be considered one, but its not as bad as it could've been without that important line of dialogue. Still is my favorite episode and final scene of an episode of the series so far.. 💯
