Tanjiro's a special protagonist. He's got every right to despise demons and treat them all like the monsters that slaughtered/ate his family, but he continues to see them as people. Partly because he's a kind person by nature, but especially because Nezuko was turned. She didn't get a choice and he recognizes that many demons will be like her; normal humans that were corrupted and turned into something else. The respect he shows them is a beautiful thing in a world full of horrors and suffering. Y'all got a lot to look forward to, it only gets better from here on out.
