I told ya, this arc is more modern already, retrospections if there are any are like max 10-15 sec instead of 3-4 mins so you don't really need to skip them, skipping only openings is okay. Its a different arc but quite interesting with some good fights later on. TYBW is only making it even more better, modern, faster.

I remember not really liking this arc all to much when I first watched Bleach a long time ago. Back then I was young and looking for more fight scenes, but coming back to it in retrospect it's actually refreshing to narrow the cast of characters back down to the original friend group for the most part and spend some time developing characters and intrigue rather than fight fight fight. My memory is pretty hazy on this arc other than the big plot points, but I'm already enjoying it far more than the first half of the Hueco Mundo arc (before the Grimmjow fight).
