I feel like the "Monsterverse" took a dive after Godzilla: King of the Monsters, as far as it's movies are concerened. The TV show Monarch on the other hand was actually fairly good, far better than this movie and the previous Godzilla vs Kong in my opinion. As you two said the characters in this movie were just incredibly campy and forced, which is sorta what I got from the previous movie as well. Minus One proved that a monster movie could have incredible characters and it just makes this hard to watch. $15m for Minus One and $135m for GxK:TNE... It really does come down to the writing, which unrelated to Godzilla reminds me of 10 Cloverfield Lane which had a very small budget yet happened to be incredible, you two should watch it if you get time.

Hey there! I'm one of the animators and VFX artists who worked, on this film. I had the opportunity to animate some really important scenes, like godzilla evolving and shimo running, aswell as the HE fight! The reaction has been fantastic! Keep it up!

I kinda agree, but since I worked on gxk and gvks animation and VFX, I don't want to be too harsh. However, I'm sorry for the poorly received visual effects. All of us artists here genuinely apologize for it. It was mostly due to inadequate directing and supervision
