*Spoiler Warning for Book 3*

So I think if I set this to public we'll have enough people to do one of these, and there are also a lot of patrons here I haven't heard from yet. I make no guarantees about anything showing up in the story but I think it would be fun and informative to hear what people are excited about.

Prompt ideas (for people who don't know what to write):

Which do you think is cooler: World of Tooth and Claw (Catgirl world) or the World of Struggle and Strife (Orc world)?

Are you interested in Dragon Magic (Bloodline Origin Awakening), or Goblin Magic (Goldmongering)?

Would Theo be more likely to lure an enemy army into a field of landmines or drop barrels of iron flechettes on them from above?

Magic potions or Enchanted Weapons?

Or a topic of your own choosing!

I'll respond to what I can without spoilers. Also, just because I phrased the prompts above like absolutes doesn't mean it's one or the other. I have plans for everything I listed above, and most of the time you'll likely see both. Though how much time I spend on each topic is still something I'm considering.

I think the catgirl world would be more interesting. Although, Yorik the orc, was waiting to go home to have a child, which would be interesting. Enchanted weapons and other items over spells, talisman's. Interested to see how they go between worlds. Get on the trail of Dean The results for upgrading the rooms. Segolas. Who was Tim working for? Unseeing Eye? How did he get to the 10,000 worlds and why cant the go back? We know that there is the Elf World, Orc World, Cat World, Dragon World, Dwarf World, that leaves alot of worlds unknown.

You know, I've actually been thinking about tweaking an outline for a different series I've got and having it take place on the World of Tooth and Claw. There might even be opportunities for interaction between Theo and this other protagonist who may or may not get a novel.

John

World of Tooth and Claw gets my vote.

John

Segolas soul purified by Melise's spell. Enchanting weapons. Iron laced water balloons or iron dust in clay jars as hand grenades. Release the nexus seal that they found.

World of Tooth and Claw, Goldmongering, Magiteck (Theo has better then wikipedia in his head, why stop at x-bows when magic laser pistols are on the table), more of Theo's inner circle cross classing (body enhancements on elves, Tooth and Claw techniques for Yorik etc)

I don't remember where I saw it, there was a reference to Elf clans escaping to Pocket Dimensions. Can you expand on that?

MarvinKnight

Some of the more powerful clans and factions in the setting have access to treasures or spells that can fold space and make a small and isolated world where they can eke out an existence. Top-tier elves often use these to recover from losing a battle because they can be very well hidden. Sometimes entire clans that take heavy losses will retreat into one of these pocket dimensions to replenish their numbers and heal before returning to the world. The primary drawback for this strategy is the fact that these sealed off spaces have a limited amount of zeal, similar to the room Theo trapped Tim in. That means those inside either have to take a lot of zeal crystals with them, or they need to have a way of making zeal (Like the Sky-Touching Kilobeast). There are also pre-existing pocket dimensions that nobody makes, they're simply found. Pocket Dimensions don't last forever, so those that are found naturally drifting about are usually very powerful, some strong enough to be minor worlds unto themselves. Unlike artificial Pocket Dimensions, these often have plenty of natural resources and there's always fierce fighting to control them. I do have a few ideas for a shorter pocket dimension arc, though I'm not sure if we'll see it in book 4.

- dude needs to get his son back. Start moving heaven and earth for that. - I’d like to see Theo make one male friend. Maybe Deans kid? - id like to see Theo create a safe space/pocket dimension. Maybe get himself a nice spot to go fishing by himself. Yes to harems, but I imagine he needs a beer or two without someone bugging him for vitality. - hands down yorik’s world over catgirl world.

MarvinKnight

I think Mac partially serves the male companion role, but Mac is always going to be a little crazy. I do have plans for introducing a male dwarf in book 4 who you may like. Sam and Dean's direct descendents are all too powerful for Theo to rub shoulders with yet, but we'll likely run into more grandchildren.

John

Early adventures of Sam and Dean and the founding of the Deanian Queendom. Prequel maybe?

MarvinKnight

That could be a fun short story or worldbuilding overview to post here on patreon. I probably won't write anything approaching a full-length novel with that concept simply because I've got no shortage of ideas, but it might be fun to explore briefly.

Have you decided on the cover for book 4? I vote for Melise

MarvinKnight

I haven't commissioned the cover yet, but I've been thinking about the cover recently. Melise would definitely be fun, though she shares a bit of Nela's aesthetic that we saw on the last cover. I was originally thinking of having Eltiana up there, but I also was thinking about increasing my cover budget now that we're in the second arc and having two figures on it instead of one (My cover artist is thankfully a lot more affordable than who most authors seem to be using). Maybe I'll try Eltiana + Melise.
