As you can all probably see, Blessed Time Book One is done.  Clocking in around 255k words, I'm assuming any release on kindle for Blessed Time will likely be 2-4 Volumes in length.

What does this mean and what am I up too?  Good questions!

Will there be a book two?
Probably eventually!  Right now I'm a bit burned out on Blessed Time.  I received a fair amount of pushback on Royal Road in the last month or so, and although that shouldn't impact me, it has.  A week or so ago,  I had an epiphany where I realized that although I loved writing the story, I hated posting it on Royal Road.

Every single chapter that went up filled me with dread, and that isn't  a good way to produce art.  Rather than push myself and the story past the breaking point (and let the quality suffer) I have decided to step away for a while.   I will probably be back with a book two at some point, but for right now I will be marking the story as complete.

I also wanted to make sure to finish the story before the end of the month to ensure that those who were subscribed solely to read Blessed Time would have a chance to unsubscribe before being charged again.

What will happen with book one?
As some of you are aware, I am working with a publisher to convert some of my web serials into kindle books/audio books.  It is my preference that Blessed Time remain available for free in its unedited form on Royal Road.  That said, if the publisher says that I have to take it down so that it can go Kindle Unlimited, that is what it is.  I am incredibly grateful for all of your support and I will let you know more as I know more.

What does that mean for this Patreon?
I am behind where I want to be on the Tower of Somnus backlog.  My primary goal will be updating that backlog to 10 chapters ahead (although I will be taking a week or so break from Somnus once I reach the end of book two).  I also have two partially written stories that have not been posted on here yet.

My goal is to make substantial progress on one of these stories, A Dream of Wings and Flame, and to begin posting it on this website once I am where I want to be with Somnus.  For now, Dream will not have a set release schedule as I will solely be writing it when I have time between scheduled Somnus chapters.

A Dream of What Now?
Click here to see the the cover without typography.  It is going to be the story of a plucky and ever optimistic Kobold that struggles against the odds to become a Wizard, and more importantly, to evolve his species until he becomes a Dragon.
What Else?
I'm glad you asked!  My first LitRPG trilogy, Viceroy's Pride has been going through editing and preparation for the last couple of months.  Soon it will be pulled down from Royal Road so the edited (and in my opinion much improved) version can go up on Kindle Unlimited.  If anyone is able and interested in ARC reviewing it, please let me know so that I can talk to my publisher about getting you a copy.

Other than that, again, thank you for supporting me and have a great weekend!

Let me just say here: thank you so much for Blessed Time. I really hope you do come back for a second book, but even if you don’t, the fact remains that you have provided me with the best representation I have ever seen of a gay romance in a LitRPG, something that I’ve been searching for since I got into the genre. Words can’t describe how important this is to me, so my continuing support will have to be enough. I can’t wait to read this new version of Viceroy’s Pride, and I eagerly look forward to anything else you create!

Honestly? It's been a rough couple of weeks and this meant a lot to me. Thank you very much for taking the time to comment.

An excellent end to an excellent story. Thank you for your hard work and tenacity. I look forward to book two when you are ready for it. A humble suggestion, I would love to see a slice of life perspective from this universe, I would like to see how the characters decompress after such a long stressful situation.

I really enjoyed the ending to Blessed time. I honestly didn't know whether Micah would survive or even win the challenge. Normally as a reader you are always certain that the main character survives so that was really cool. I would definitely like to read more about the characters in the future, but if you don't feel like it, this would still be a great story. Thank you for writing it :).
