It was awesome getting to see Chrollo vs. Zeno and Silva!  I've really been looking forward to seeing some REAL heavy hitters going at it!  I'm sure this wasn't the extent of their power, but it was certainly nice to at least see a sample!  Gah though, these dang cliffhangers...  Attack on Titan hit me with a major one earlier today.  Now I get a mild one from Hunter x Hunter.  If only I had more time...  I'll have to call out of work.  I'm sure they'll understand that it was necessary, lol.

They're assumptions, yeah, but they're reasonable ones based on both Zeno's observations and his extensive Nen-combat experience. For instance, it made little sense that Chrollo would needlessly hold the book open the entire time, while fighting, when dismissing it would've freed his hand to at least allow him more options while fighting -- unless he had no choice but to hold onto the book. Also, Zeno's experience would let him have an instinctive feel for how most Hatsus work -- what is feasible, what is not, the likely burden of conditions required to make a Hatsu work, based off Zeno's estimation of his opponent's skill level. He may not know the exact conditions yeah, but based on the Hatsu's effects and his judgement of Chrollo, it's possible (and necessary) to make decent guesses as to the number of conditions. I say it's necessary because in such fast-paced battles, his life depends on making the right decisions, which he cannot do without proper evaluation of his opponent and predicting their intent, if possible. If he's wrong about something (as characters sometimes are), he'll find out soon enough, hopefully not fatally, and re-assess. It's one of the things I really like about HxH.
