As much as I kept saying I knew something was going to happen to Wilhelm.  I am in denial, there is just no way he dies here!  Still expecting this man to come blasting out of the whale's mouth next episode...  We also got (what I believe to be) our first small glimpse of the Witch?  Either way, things are certainly NOT looking good.  One was fine, but three...?  Possibly even more?  We're going to need some more backup with this one!

(1:35): Most people have a similar reaction to the start of this episode. (2:45): Don't worry, I believe you. (3:54): I love the night banisher. It's such a cool and fitting name. Since it creates an artificial sun for 60 minutes. Also don't ask me how it works, I have no idea. The engineer in me says that it isn't nearly high enough to effectively scatter throughout the atmosphere so evenly, and thus it should be much more localized, but that's just being pedantic I think. (6:50): I don't think I've mentioned this to you before, but having a horn is an attribute that all Mabeasts have. There's some other lore about their horns that I can give you if you want, but otherwise I'll just leave it out. (14:15): I was gonna mention this next episode, but all of these Wilhelm flashbacks are actually from side novels EX 2 and EX 3, which center around Wilhelm and his wife. I really like how they weaved in Wilhelm's story into the main story, and all of the royal selection characters have similar side novels going into their own backstory (though I haven't read most of them, since I've been told the later ones contain spoilers for Season 3 and beyond). (17:33): The sound of this guys head hitting the ground really makes me uncomfortable, with just how deadding it sounds. Most of the time, sounds effects used in these situations don't sound nearly as forceful. (23:20): This is after they started dating I believe. (23:56): I don't know if this is a translation issue or if Wilhelm just used a poor choice of words, but "With a face like that", should probably be "With an expression like that", since Theresia doesn't really want to be the Sword Saint. (25:35): Fun fact, this is the last episode of Re:Zero that has both an OP and ED with visuals for both. The only other episodes were episodes 2 (kinda, because they used different visuals for the ED) and episodes 10. Every episode from here on out will either have neither the OP or ED with visuals, or just one of them.
