Not going to lie, this episode was pretty dang funny!  Please just keep Subaru AWAY from kitchens...  He clearly does not belong there!  What is the deal with this time reset though!?  I thought for sure it was triggered by death.  Now that doesn't seem to be the case.  Perhaps it has a secondary way of activating?  Maybe death is one way, and he's somehow causing it to happen through a secondary condition?

Something I want to mention is the length of Re:Zero. It's a long story. The author has only written like 75% of the story thus far (in 35 light novels, which are usually in the 200 - 300 page range), and the anime covers about not quite half of that. I'd estimate that it will eventually have something like 150-200 episodes in total. Anyways, just want to point out the approximate length, cause there will be tons of stuff not yet explained. (2:20): It's an Evangelion reference. You'll see it when you start Evangelion, IIRC it's in the first few episodes. (4:35): Yeah you can, it's a bit complicated though, so I'll leave it for the magic explanation later. (6:25): Didn't die here, just passed out and was taken back to his bed. (22:35): Age is sometimes tricky in Re:Zero, so I'll just give apparent ages. Subaru, Emilia, Rem and Ram all looks like late teenagers, Roswaal looks like a man in his 30's, and Betty looks like a child around 12. (22:50): I don't know for sure, but I don't think so. It's I think a fairly specialized skill. Also a side note, when Rem and Ram talk one after each other with similar phrases, in the original Japanese novels, their dialogue takes the same number of characters. It doesn't quite translate to anime, since sometimes some kanji are swapped, which have different amounts of syllables, but it's a written quirk.
