Rounding off the marble city maps this month is a map inspired by none other than the Roman Forum - a big, open plaza with lots of ceremonial pillars and a rostra from which important public figures may proclaim their latest triumphs - or, on a more mundane day, a town crier may declare recent news and events. The forum also served as an integral and important hub for trade and local gatherings, and was surrounded by Rome's most important temples, so you may very well declare that the buildings surrounding this plaza serve similar purposes.

  • The Supporter-tier variants this week, in addition to the day, night, and rainstorm edits, comes with a Pokemon arena edit specifically for the one who I believe requested it! And also for everyone else who happens to be able to make use of it, of course. There's also the greyscale versions, of course.
  • Enthusiast-tier package comes with the extra public execution variant, featuring a gallows erected in the forum. There's also a more empty version available if you want to add your own decor. Both of these come in the gamut of environment options.
  • Benefactor-tier comes with a garden edit featuring significantly denser cover options and a ceremonial block, with significantly more greenery scattered around the map than the normal version contains.

The map is, in total, 22 tiles wide and 34 tiles tall, with the exception of the arena map which I turned on its side for no good reason and is instead vice versa. Resolution is 100ppi as always. I think I got the size right this time, so if you're printing on US Letter, it should fit on precisely a 2 by 4 sheet array with the right layout.

There'd be a package of assets for the Enthusiast and Benefactor tiers to go along with this map, but I've got two projects under way first that I'm still drawing assets for, so I've decided to hold off on releasing that until I've drawn everything and throw it all in with this month's pack. It should be out before April.

As always, comments and questions and complaints are welcome. The free maps are attached above - both the daytime plaza and the Pokemon arena edit - so grab 'em if you want 'em, and subscribe if you like 'em! Next week will be a new month, and so a new theme, and if you haven't voted on the poll yet, go check out the options! It closes on Sunday!
