Augh, my back. I mean, good morning! Febuary's Patron map theme poll turned out as 'cold mountains', so that's what we're doing this month. This week's map is a cold stream running down a rocky mountain. It actually isn't much of a steppe at all, but I only just realized that as I was typing this. Oh well.

Out here in the wilderness, you never know what you're going to find. This spot could be ripe for an ambush, or simply as the place to spot the beast you've been tracking down. The old stone circle provides for a ley-line, a ritual, or an elemental's favored place.

I'd advise having combat run from the bottom-left corner to the top-right corner for an even greater distance, but I'm pretty sure most people play 5e with its weird diagonals-count-as-one-tile rule, so that's not actually any greater a distance than it would be with 3.5e's rules unless you're into house rules.

Anyways, onto variants...

  • The Supporter pack comes with a nifty stone circle, or without it, as well as the usual day/night versions for both.
  • The Enthusiast pack gets, in addition to the base maps, versions with a dried-up riverbed, as well as a mountain devoid of trees and rocks in case you hate trees and rocks (or want to substitute your own).
  • The Benefactor pack includes rainy and snowy variants, and also a snowstorm with an eerie blue flame burning in the stone circle (optional), and also some other miscellaneous combinations too boring to list because there's a lot of interchangeable parts here.

The map is 36x36 tiles big, or 3,600 pixels squared, at 100ppi. The free version is attached
above! If you've got any questions or comments or requests or just want to yell at me, feel free to ask or yell at will like usual, and have a good week.

[!] NOTE FOR EXISTING PATRONS

It's Febuary now, so new posts are being tagged only with the new tiers. They're basically identical to the old ones, except the prices have been adjusted (and made cheaper) for the new monthly charge scheme. You'll have to manually switch over to the new tiers to access the archives from here on out! Sorry for the inconvenience.

This shouldn't affect you if you're already on the (3.75)/(7.50)/(11.25)/month tiers. If it does, yell at me, because that's a problem.
