Deluxe Poll #14: Stuff to Read (Part 1) (Patreon)

I apologise for taking so long in making this poll. I don't want to go into too much detail. because one of my eyes is temporarily out of commission (notihing serious)  but my sencere appreciation to you guys for being so patient as always. I'll try to talk more about other stuff (maybe on another post) but for now I want to explain why there is a two-part Deluxe poll.

I've realised, headmods are here to stay. It's not an experiment anymore, that's just how it's gonna be. But that means things have gotten harder. Better, but harder and more complex,and I've become inaccurate at measuring the workloads, which has ended me up in a prety tight spot RN. So realising I needed serious criteria to estimate possible workload of the releases, I came up with a criteria and applied it to all current options which took me like 25 hours and then my left eye exploded. JOY!!!

But it's a beautiful matrix that I think I might put later if I understand how to make like an update-able excel online of sorts (IDK). I think it would provide you also with updated info about the poll lists and how am I selecting stuff, which would be cool.

Anyways, the point is, after considering the headmod factor, things are harder - which anyways is the idea of Deluxe poll- and I moved some stuff to Deluxe. Reminder that I use Deluxe as an extra for patrons but also a measure to keep things flowing, not because I want to work less, but because I can't do more. I'm seriously at my limit here. XD. And I know you know. You guys are very understandng. I'm fortunate for that. But there are alternatives. We can change our Patreon, we've done it in the past, but that will be for another post and a future survey.

Some of the choices are super old, not necessarily the most popular, I think the old way of cycling through options wasn't good. Some of the older options got moved into Regular polls (since relative worklaod changed) and with  the  huge number of options gathered over time and new ones, we desperately need some selection. 

This time and with the initial workload limit I made up (for now) we got 50 options. I think we'll be doing what we do with Regular polls from now on, which is.... only the most popular shall survive.

I'm not sure how he chooses it but first poll has 25 options and 656(218.6x3) votes total where as the second pole is 21 among 396(132x3) votes IF he weights the vote based on amount of choices per poll and votes that would likely mean Renamon and Ashoka Tano more than likely tied for first despite having 1 less vote than Urbosa, given the fact that there are 5 options in the first Poll with +40 votes gives some weight that the first poll had much more competition between each of the choices where as the second poll literally only has 1 options with +40 being Urbosa. I cant say how he decides but that is my opinion on the polls and keep in mind every asshole has an opinion...

I thought Renamon had won tbh :P I think I understood what you mean but this would rely heavily on the assumption that every one who votes on one of the parts of the poll is compelled to vote on the other one. So even if it is one vote, it'll go to the most popular option locally (instead of globally), right? But this is not what happens, Around 30% of the voters of Part 1 decided not to vote on Part 2 and 15% of those who voted in Part 2 decided not to vote on Part 1 :P. Considering that there are 25 options you can go for and that I am taking away the least popular options I would assume there is more reason to have intersections between those 2 population, but patrons still decide not to vote on one part or the other. So as far as the evidence go, I can't determine if patrons are compelled to vote on both parts and if it was only a portion that felt compelled, I can't quantify this effect on either side of the parts of the polls. The other option would be to weight votes, which could mean normalizing the votes by assumption that the total number of votes is equally representative of the whole, but that would make Urbosa the ultimate winner. (Did we not talk about this some time before? This seems oddly familiar XD) This makes me think about the clarity of the polls. If Patreon would just allow me to do bigger polls this wouldn't be an issue. IDK, this has no repercution on anything I just like to entretain math stuff XD. Thanks for the comment. This has spur some thoughts into my noggin about the clarity of the polls. Anyways Ahsoka or Urbosa will probably be on the next Exclusive poll in any case.
