Hello my super patrons

sorry I'm a little late with posts this month :>  as I told you, I'm deep into my books. So, I want to share with you my work process. It may help you in your own production if you are working or planning to make a comic book, or you can just consider it a super exclusive sneack peel into my daily work process :)

I post here the firts pages' STORYBOARD for my upcoming book "Les Soeurs Grémillet tome 3". The storyboard part is where you take all the decisions: the expressions of the characters, the camera angle, the rythm ... all the emotion is created here, even if it may look very simplified and funny. It takes a lot of concentration, it's like projecting a movie in your mind and note it down.

The dialogues are just noted, me and writer Giovanni Di Gregorio will put down the definitive ones at the end.

Then I create the rough pages. You can see here how I adapt the open storyboard to the page size. Here is where you decide the shape and size of the frames, and the number of pages (always keeping in mind that total amount of pages you at your disposal! This is decided previously with the publisher, and you can't do one more or one less page!)
