Last month I posted a video of the house model on VR, I'm glad I worked on that tiny thing, I enjoyed the process, but I understand the disappointment, it's not the way I was supposed to go

Whether I like or not, I've been distracted from the main goal of game development by looking for some complexity, options, things to improve, map, lightning, animation, systems, porting to other platforms, useless parts like the computer UI... "the characters could be coloured" then proceed to edit them, colour with artists, spend time without having the game base...
I had the "excuses" like "I'm also learning" or "taking easy to not get burned out" or "it's worth checking this program/addon/possibility"
And over time all this time spent, even if I learned some stuff, piles up. Weeks, months, years go by and, where's the game?
People get tired, goes away, forget about the project. I also get tired, lose strength/willpower, and get used to not delivering. Then I find myself spending less time at the project, falling on the typical traps of dopamine, watching youtube videos, adult stuff, news, internet forums, videogames, LOTS of music(Meat Loaf rest in peace). Until one day I pull one string, and all starts appearing, all that I've been ignoring

I'm gonna wrap it up the house VR explorer and publish it, then evaluate the 3D characters and their practicality to create content, and if for whatever reason I'm not comfortable with it, I can work with an artist on a new game or comic, in the quickest, cheapest possible way. Even if I wanted to, I can't go back to draws on Yellow Family. Nowadays a colour sketch of a single character, no background, from the artist of YF it's 145$; two characters 275$, that's without any kind of variations or expressions. This makes it easy to not go that way
The house VR explorer it's important for me because it's something that I can show and be proud of it, "I did this". Might sound silly, but I would like to have something like that. Also, it's something I can show directly to family and friends on the Quest 2
The next post might take a while
