Content

Lately, I've been at home disconnected from the game's work, thinking what I was going to do to next, trying to get some motivation back, so I'm pausing the Patreon billing cycle for February

----------------

As Cubiack pointed out in a post comment, the game really needs to increase the content, it's a well know issue I even mention in the game, I didn't address that in the post "Changing the game, Part 1", so it's a good opportunity to talk about this

Next version already had planned some new content but it's not enough to reach a good state, what I'm planning to do is to add new events text-based and add more interactable objects to the scenario(I think I mentioned this one in the past)

Since the start I considered many options for the art content, the draws, I have 0 drawing skills so I set up a budget of a few thousands of dollars(well, started with less, but increased over time) and I contacted artists until 34-san came up, I worked with him since then, though I kept searching for artists to do the most time-consuming work, like scenes, animations, on that matter it was cheaper to work with other people(up to 1/3 of the cost), but their style was different, the work wasn't as good and/or service wasn't good enough to work in the long term. So I stopped searching and kept working with 34-san

The result is that there's less art content that initially planned but on the other hand, I'm happy with the quality of the present one

It's worth to mention that I considered switching to 3D characters, not renders like other games but in-game ones, but for that, I can't use generic DAZ3D with a realistic style, I need some cartoon-styled custom ones that have an equivalent quality to the draws... that's really hard, not to mention, that the expressiveness normally ain't as good.

About getting support, I'm not even promoting the game yet, it would help me but on the other hand, the more people play the game at its current status, the more people might associate this project to a bad early game, so I'm keeping a low profile at the moment

----------------

In conclusion, the next steps are going to be the ones from "changing the game" plus some remaining I mentioned in the past(the lab still in the works), then add text-based events and when the images for Jessy are ready, add that event

I'm not sure when I'll release this new version(0.3), what I know is that must be before the release of Cyberpunk 2077, I haven't been this excited for a game for a long time

See ya soon :)
