You Spoke, Patreon Listened! No Fee Changes. (Patreon)

Wow guys, that happened quick!  Apparently Patreon received a FLOOD of feedback regarding their recent transaction fee changes.  In my opinion it takes pretty huge balls to change course like this as a company.  Thank you all for submitting your comments and emails, many of which we forwarded through to Patreon.  It made such a difference.

This whole thing was such a learning experience for us, and really drives home  just how much you all make possible to us via your pledges.  Without it we would certainly be back to rolling burritos and hammering on computer keyboards pretty quickly.   

Thanks to your awesome comments and ideas we now are working on a plan to not have "all our eggs in one basket" so to speak.  So stay tuned on that front :)  And if  you want to read the details I put the email we received from Patreon below.

From the bottom of our hearts, we’re truly sorry. Last week’s service fee announcement caused a tough week for you, your patrons, and your teams. We were trying to solve a problem for creators and, in turn, caused more problems for you and your patrons.
 

You’ve spoken loud and clear. We’re not going to rollout the changes to our payments system that we announced last week, and are currently assessing other options.
