Video Game - Orcs Must Die 2 

Orcs Must Die 2  is an excellent co-op tower defense game. A wide variety of levels where you can place a huge variety of traps to help you slay the ongoing horde of orcs. Traps such as a fire pits, giant swinging maces, penetrating spikes, autoballistas, etc. The orcs are also really funny as they constantly make remarks in goofy voices, like "watch for traps" or "i wanna go home!" The rampage is nonstop and it is so, so much fun. Easily one of my top 10 games of the decade. 

TV Show - His Dark Materials 

His Dark Materials is about a fantasy world where humans are accompanied by daemons that take the form of animals. The human's soul resides within the animal. If the animal, or the human, were to die, so would the other one. 

The gist of the story is about a girl who leaves her college to go find her uncle. She winds up assisting a group of people who are trying to rescue a bunch of kidnapped children, to recruiting an armored polar bear, to finding out who her true parents are. It's a very story driven show, but hopefully the fantasy concept is just as interesting to you as it is to me. I was on the edge of my seat almost in tears by the end of it. I don't want to spoil anything... but definitely check this one out.
