Laxus is 100% a second Generation dragon slayer. The Hybrid Modes have something to do with the Dragon Lacrima though.

I reread Erza vs Kagura in the manga and K actually managed to cut E’s shoulder when E blocked her, but the anime censored it aside from the blood spurt lol... E was actually bleeding quite a bit during the whole fight, and after she protected K from the falling debris her leg injury looked pretty bad, but the anime didn’t show it very well 😅
