I'll partially forgo the fancy intro to ask a question and settle a dispute. My opinion is that the Switch isn't equipped to handle open world games. For me Breath of the Wild's open world felt empty and boring outside of the few set pieces scattered about. The map felt stretched for content, and exploring felt like a chore rather than a reward in itself. Some of my friends felt otherwise. Similarly I have no hope for this to improve in the next game as I think the hardware is the issue. Again they disagree. To be fair I did play the game at the same time I played Ghost of Tsushima and that open world felt so gorgeous and rich, especially in comparison. So I think that factors in.
