Chris you're wrong about both the New Type of Gun thing, and the it never happened before, the new gun thing is more so by the numbers of shootings I doubt they're all done by old heavy shitty guns from the 1980s, now by design, sure that is different, but most handguns relate back to guns made in the 1900s, and shootings have happened before, many of times, normally they used a hunting rifle and shooting 5 or 6 people, or they used a handgun and shoot up their workplace, you know going postal, the difference is more of these shootings are happening at schools, and the postal service became somewhat bearable to work at

The “school shooter drills” remind me a lot of “plane crash positions.” Like, if the plane is going down, I’m sorry but no amount of crouching forward and covering your neck with your hands is making you less dead. But they teach those things to help the people in the situation stay calm and feel like they have some control in a situation that inherently gives them none.
