IMPORTANT PODCAST UPDATE (VIDEO) (Patreon)

Hey, everyone! I'll just cut to the chase. There won't be a new episode of the podcast this week. I received word just this morning that someone in our apartment complex had been taken to the hospital with COVID symptoms.

Obviously, we want to be as cautious as possible now that this plague is in our backyard so we elected to not have Derrick come by. It very well could be nothing. A hypochondriac overrating or just general sickness but we don't wanna risk anyone's well-being over a podcast schedule. Gabby is still here and able to fill in, but I feel a little weird not having Derrick on for two weeks in a row. Doesn't feel right to me since this is a joint venture between the three of us.

I've ordered some equipment on Amazon that would allow us to do the podcast remotely on discord.  This is usually pretty easy, but our recording setup is optimized for in person episodes and requires significant reworking. The problem, obviously, is that with Amazon as backed up as it is, it's anyone's guess as to when that stuff will arrive. Evidently their best estimate is April 2nd - May 5th (lol?)

Regardless, I fully intend on having everything back up and running by next week. Whether that equipment comes in or not. I'll sew us some hazmat suits if I have to because I refuse to miss two episodes in a row. The podcast keeps growing and we're appreciative of all the support you give us even during these insane times. I'm super sorry for this irritating inconvenience. We know that this is one of the shows that help keep you sane but I hope you understand why we'd wanna take some cautionary steps. At least for the time being. Shits crazy out there. Stay safe. Stay healthy. We'll see you next week.
