I absolutely love the final fight vs the anti-spirals because everybody gets their licks in. But I will say my favorite part of the series is that it focuses on love. I don't mean romance love (tho it is there too). But there is absolute love from Simon and Kamina and its beautiful and the crux of where Simon gets his resolve.

# Sunday Rundown Nice Hat Rana. Now! Some meta points about the themes of the arc and Kisuke's character! * This arc seems to be placing emphasis on 'Truth'. You may have noticed by now that Bleach likes to use different characters and battles to represent different philosophical themes. E.g. Rukia Vs Espada 9 was all about 'what makes a person, a person?' and the answer was 'The Heart'. * Kisuke, to me, seems to resemble 'The Last Man'. This is a Nietzsche term used to coin those individuals who act to preserve the security of society, no matter what. They are complacent to keep things as they are. Kisuke supports a system that imprisons innocent people. He is literally the warden. And if the way Shinji and Mayuri speak about him is true, I suspect that he is a sociopath who struggles to really understand people - hence why he lies and hides things from them (recall how Aizen revealed to Ichigo that Urahara had manipulated him into invading the Soul Society, all to stop Aizen stealing the Hogyoku). Who knows what else he's lying to us about. *I am personally happy that Aizen killed all of Central 46. Down with the system!
