HIM

(In response to a YT comment) I mean... popular opinion would PROBABLY say 1 and 2 are by far the weakest in general... BUT, in a 1v1 situation between book 2 and book 3, or movie 2 and movie 3, I think it's much more of a fair fight. Both 2 and 3 have fairly large future implications (which is why they are weaker... The following movies wrap themselves up more and feel like more cohesive stories, as a result) and either can be more appealing depending on your preference. The "Tom riddle" backstory actually turns out to be fire once you know more about the lore. The giant snake was creepy AF (which probably scared a lot of kids 😂) AND the movie was more of a mystery than any of the others turn out to be. Prisoner of Azkaban takes a similar approach on the "mystery" theme, but offers more of a true Sherlock Holmes like mystery, that ultimately falls short in the end... As it is a set up piece, much like AoT S2. AoT S2 was HATED by the fans for simple fact it failed to move the plot forward and only gave us more set up for future events that we had no idea of at the time. I think the series as a whole is slightly less interesting than The Hobbit, and neither come close to the long lasting appeal of Star Wars... but as a kid who grew up with these movies, I definitely enjoy a fresh take on the series every now and again! Keep it up, Pat! You'll love how it all ends 😉

Hate me if you want, but this movie is the weak point in the series to me. Now I'm in my 40's and got introduced HP by the first movie. I thought it was good hen it was released on DVD, my friend rented it and showed it to me. I thought the movie was fun so I decided to read the books. I read the 4 books before the 2nd movie was released and let me tell you if you read Goblet of Fire before watching it you will be disappointed. I've come to like the movie ok. it as some awesome parts, but honestly it's my least fav HP movie because it was the first to cut out so much from the books.

i agree with some what you say. its the film i've seen the least so retain the least amount of information on. there is just something about it that doesnt grasp my attention. i fell asleep out of boredom the first time i watched. didnt actually see the full thing til the last film came out and i marathoned the whole franchise. this is going to be an interesting rewatch. i only remember the broad strokes of the introduction of the death eaters, the different schools (the witch school of which i so wanted to be the focus of the film give me THAT series instead of fantastic beasts) and who dies. i dont even remember who becomes the defense against the dark arts teacher

yeah, i still cant connect with this movie. it talks about how grade the tri-wizard competition but never delivers on it. only showing harry's participation just made it all seem small scale and comes off as oddly edited. i feel like im missing scenes whenever they go "beginning round 1" then cut to "now for our last competitor".......WHAT?! also, ron and hermione not being in on the action didnt work for me either. its like these xmen films focusing on wolverine.........NO! show me the TEAM. this either should have been a longer film or split into two. the best part of the film for me is the resurrection of big v. that whole scene was epic! i do appreciate the world building and diversity this film had but its just not for me

okay pat just has a loud voice sometimes; nothing wrong with that. But he also has a tendency to lean forward and/or yell when he gets excited, so can we move the mic further back, or turn it down because my ears...i;m just trying to hear everyone at the same level.

Even though they cut out like the only Quidditch in this movie played at the highest level I still prefer it to the 3rd movie I really think I just didn't like that directors style but also the asked calmly meme made me like this Dumbledore after awhile

As soon as they appeared in a GRAVEYARD, I don't care if the Ministry itself was waiting for me, I would've grabbed the cup to portkey back immediately.

Hopefully the upcoming series will better adapt the source material because this is by far the worst movie in the series in terms of everything that was left out.

Jeff Clark

Never explained in the movie but portkeys are only ever supposed to work one way. In the book it takes them back because of some (admittedly deus ex machina style) magic performed by the ghosts that come out of Voldemorts wand and speak to Harry.

Wouldn't it be funny if Rana and Navi dressed like those Indian girls and Spidey and Pat as Ron and Harry and went to a ball
