Damn Rhodey was nasty to Fury but I lived for their exchange. Was it their first interaction in over 10 years of MCU? But no Rhodey, US military is not the biggest, Wakanda's is. And they better never get infiltrated by Skrulls...

Wakanda might have a technological advantage but they have too small of a military force to be a military power and the battlefield tactics they have shown thus far would be picked apart pretty easily by modern military forces. The US is still on top in terms of real power and power projection in the MCU. Plus the US is shown to have a lot of advanced technology in the universe.

I loved ONK. This show was great in all the right ways. It's funny to me though that I realized if they hadn't killed Ai and started the whole revenge story I would not have watched past Ep 1, but going through it I hardly even remembered it. Everything you said in discussion rings pretty true though espesccially how it's the show turning us into "Idol Otaku", and how all the kinda meta stuff is part of what made everyone so enjoyable. I Hope they can keep it up going forward and that S2 doesn't go down because it will need to lean more into the strictly interpersonal drama

We saw in Infinity War Wakanda's city shield was effective to a certain extent but Thanos's army was able to phase through the shield with a bit of effort. The shield showed it was able to tank a ship falling on it but that had no where near the yield of even the smallest nukes the US and others have in their arsenal. I'm not sure that shield could do much against a consistent nuclear attack let alone hold up against an attack by the powerful non-nuclear weapons the US has in the MCU. The MCU version of Wakanda seems far weaker than the comic book version.
