Angel is still bad, and their love story is still trash Angel and Buffy are better characters apart, but Parker is also bad as well. Honestly all of Buffy’s relationships were pretty bad, she definitely had the worst relationships out of her and her friends.

Kinda weird and by weird I mean screwed up that Buffy’s first two sexual experiences and what came after were so traumatic and horrible, like I always felt like this Parker storyline was absolutely NOT NEEDED.

I have to disagree that it wasn't needed. It's a storyline that hits very closely for me and many other women I know. Womanizing and manipulative characters are so often portrayed in a positive light on TV, so to show it from Buffy's perspective was refreshing and cathartic in a strange way.

Chris, "wild hair up my ass" is a real thing and it's an older saying. My parents and grandparents used to say it though I haven't heard anyone use the term in years until it was said in the Angel reaction.

Gotta point out a fairly large elephant in the room with this Angel episode. The writers made it look like Oz and Cordelia has crossed paths with Spike before, when in reality, they've never had a single scene with him. Seriously. Rewatch any Spike episodes, they never meet each other.

So fun fact, Monsieur Mallah is in fact not brainwashed. Mallah is actually The Brain’s boyfriend and they just are in love as they do evil stuff to take over the world. Also if you want to differentiate between Grodd and Mallah remember that Grodd has brain powers and Mallah has a barrette and a gun.

Loved the reaction to this episode! (Buffy) Some interesting eps. coming up that can't wait for your reaction to. :D I'm actually re-watching Angel along with you guys. I watched it years ago, but I usually skip other reactors reacting to it, as it wasn't really my fav. But, I like that it's just the watch-along. Sad not to see Rana watch, but I see from the Angel ep. she got caught up.

Great reactions to Buffy/Angel. Even when this first aired and I was closer to the characters in age, the moment Parker started being all feel sad for me, I knew he was not a great guy. Poor Buffy getting another unhappy experience. And yes, the Angel / Buffy relationship was problematic and unhealthy in many ways, but Angel did always truly love her, so it’s sad that her first attempt to move on with a guy is with someone so horrid. Pat, saying he doesn’t see what he did wrong was rather worrying too. Leading women on to get them to sleep with you and then acting like you’d made clear it was casual when you didn’t, is not okay. Weird that that needs to be explained really. As for Angel, it’s still one of my favourite eps for how it adds more depth to him as a character and how selfless he is willing to be to try and make amends for Angelus, which weren’t even his fault.
