The Evil Queen

This was really a great episode. I know a lot of People are not happy with this season, but i did like it very much, from the "andoresque" mood of episode 3 to the droids side quest of episode 6. But, what i liked the most is the character development of Bo Katan Krize throughout the season. I already liked her in Clone Wars and Rebels, but in The Mandalorian i totally fell in love with Bo Katan's character. She is a very layered and complex character and that's what make her so interesting and intriguing to watch and see her evolve and grow. Even in this episode when she finally revealed how she lost the DarkSaber, you could see how much she cares about her People and how heartboken she is about what happened. She literally gave up everything to save her People and Mandalore. Even Din acknowledged his misunderstanding about her personnality and character. You can see it before Din pledged himself to serve her, how afraid she is, of not being able to keep the different factions together, and losing everything all over again. Then the look on Bo Katan's face after Din officially swore allegiance to her, you can see how touched she was by his gesture. She was very affected by the desertion of her own faction, that's why Din's pledge is so meaningful and deep to her. A lot of People ship Bo Katan and Din together after this season, and i admit i did notice the little bread crumbs left here and there about a potential romantic relationship between them, i tried to ignore them, but after today's episode i can't anymore. I think that kind of relationship could serve the story in a good way by solidifying the merger between Din's covert and Bo Katan's faction. During this season Bo Katan's growth is what drive the story, to reach the goal of finally reclaiming Mandalore. Din is the one who helps her overcome some of her struggles and move forward. He never wanted to rule Mandalore. It never was his purpose or dream. When we start this season, Bo Katan is at her worst, completely alone and defeated. She lost everything, her sister, her People, her planet, her fleet, her faction, the Dark Saber, but most of all her sense of purpose and her self-confidence. (in all of that she reminds me a lot of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones). And then with Din, she found "her way" again, especially when she saved him twice in the quest to redeem to himself. She could easily have left him die without anyone knowning and take the DarkSaber to reclaim her fleet, but she was moved by Din's unflinching commitment to the Creed. (It was beautiffuly portrayed when she smiled while he bathed in the Living Waters and she hears him reciting the tenets of the Mandalorian's Creed). Then after she lost her home in Kalevala, she was also surprised by the Armorer's invitation to join the covert. It helped her rethink all the misconceptions she had about this faction she considered more like a cult. She could have taken her helmet off or leave the covert at any moment but she chose to stay and followed theirs customs. In return they treated her with respect and honored her deeds when she helped save the foundling Ragnar. She finally found in the covert companionship and a sense of belonging. It was portrayed in episode 5 after the battle of Nevarro, When the Armorer asked her to remove her helmet. Bo Katan was so surprised by the demand that she hesitated twice before complying. Even through her helmet you can feel how hurt she was by the Armorer's command. I think at that moment, Bo Katan thought she was being bannished from the covert, you can see it in her eyes when she took her helmet off. She thought, she was going to lose something else yet again. But when the Armorer gave her the task of bringing all the factions together, she was really shocked by the responsability and trust she was given. At that moment Bo Katan realised she won the Armorer's approval. In this episode, Bo Katan is trying to keep everything together even through her inner sturggles to reach her goal but of course Moff Gideon will not let that happen so easily. During the scene of Paz Vizsla deciding to sacrifice himself to let the others escape, you can hear how conflicted and affected she was to leave him behind. Same goes for the scene where Din is captured. Concerning this new faction of Mandalorian, i dont know if it's just me, but i think there is something wrong with those survivors. This episode is called "THE SPIES" (Plural) and we already know that Elia Kane is one of them. Maybe i'm wrong but i think those survivors might be spies. The suspicious Beskar fragment left in the Lambda Shuttle, might be explained by the survivors being the one who rescued Moff Gideon. First those survivors conveniently came out of nowhere : - Where were they when Bo Katan and Din Djarin visited the Living Waters ? - why did they not showed up to see who it was or what was happening ? - They did not notice 2 Starships landings on the planet the first time but now they did ? Second there was the incident with that wierd worm creature : - when they spotted it they had plenty of time to veer off, why did they continue on course? They could have easily avoid it, - Then commander of those surviors is the one who led them to the Forge where they got ambushed, i think he did it knowing what would happen, - There is also the fact, that the location of the Forge showed signed of being repurposed and yet they did not know about it ? Did they investigate to see who was there ? Third Moff Gideon has brought a little army with him : - He brought so many TIE Interceptors and TIE Bombers, and those surviors did not see anthing about that ? How is that possible ? - Even in terms of troppers for security and maintenance, and pilots for the TIE, it could not have been possible for so many People to go unnoticed by the survivors, and yet they did not see anything? And finally, some of the survivors were evacuated to the fleet, - could they be a Trojan Horse ? - the show made a point to remind us about the interferences that cut off the comminucations between the fleet and the ground, and if what i suspect is true, those survivors will try to take control of the fleet without the konwledge of Bo Katan and the others - plus the Armorer is alone on the Gauntlet those survivors could easily subdue her and infiltrate the flagship We will see if i'm right in the next episode. Last but not least why did Moff Gideon took Din as a prisoner, when he could have killed him on the spot? Will Moff Gideon take his ADN have him cloned for his new army ?

I do watch the reactions but I've stopped caring about this show when they undid the entire purpose of the 2nd season in Boba Fett. Season 1 told us that removing the helmet infront anyone means he's no longer a mandalorian... but season 3 tells us that as long as he takes a dip in some water he's all good!?. This seasons purpose will also be undone in the next one when he yet again removes the helmet. I use to look forward to this show airing but now I only watch it to view the reaction. I hope that you guys don't start watching Ahsoke before you finish watching season 4 of Rebels. The current Star Wars content that's being released is quantity over quality.. when it should be the other way around :D
