surj: the justice league couldnt figure that out? also surj: didnt suggest this as a way to defeat amazo the whole episode lol. but just saying: kinds of hard to think as you are getting your butt handed to you and taking blows to the head. and take into account "if he can copy our powers that means he is invulnearable so why would a simple robot defeat work on him". in the comics they defeated him by using their weaknesss against him. so when he "accessed" superman, they pulled out kryptonite. so boss

Love that we had two eps in Buffy where someone tried to mimic their evil selves. Willow failed miserably but it was comedy gold, Angel tho had Angelus DOWN. He really is the world's best actor

The map showed Gotham in Connecticut about equal distance between New York City and Boston. Connecticut, Mickey not Vermont, also Navi was correct Vermont is landlocked. There's really no hard and fast rule for where Gotham and Metropolis are, but they're usually depicted as on the upper east coast somewhere.

the movie they watched was Le Banquet d'Amelia and the fandom has theories its a commentary on "chocolat" but i think its a commentary on foreign films like "like water for chocolate" and other sexy steamy films of the like in general not a particular film just the genre itself. they were really popular in the late 90s and early 2000s

its not out of character. faith is giving character background. she is DAMAGED. she had a bad traumatic childhood. she never felt love so like all addicts she is chasing fake joys, temperorary feelings of happiness: sex, drugs and rock and roll or in this case killing. so this has made her jealous of people like buffy. dont know how old she is but she was like this for 19 years aka BEFORE she came on this show

I do love this episode as it knows exactly how it’s viewers will react to what happens (hate it’s taking it backwards) and then completely tricks you. So well played and another chance for David Boreanz to showcase his versatility, flicking from one personality to the other. I get why buffy is messed up at the end, as seeing angelus again must’ve been awful, but when she arrives, Angel is on the floor looking pretty broken. Pretending to be that person he hates must’ve been hard. Oh and I think you missed the start of the conversation where the “ninja” said he contacted Giles, so the mayor contacted him/his group and as he owed Giles a favour he let them know and played along.

thats how it is in the comics as well. let me try to explain: they (cadmus) took the dna of superman and another person and put it together to make a new life form. just like when a man and woman get together to make a baby. that, plus superboy being a child is why we see him as his son not a brother. its not like he is the clone of just superman or of jor and lara el (supes bio parents). in that case yes i would understand the brother angle.

ENEMIES IS A PHENOMENAL EPISODE of Buffy The Vampire Slayer for so many reasons. 1 - it could have easily gone the cliche, predictable route. A love triangle between Buffy/Angel/Faith. Or even having Angelus return to team up with Faith. Thank god it didn’t. 2 - if it wasn’t for the twist it would have been just treading old ground. Thankfully the writers are brilliant and gave us something unexpected. 3 - this is the most the Scooby gang learns about the ascension, the mayor and Faith’s true loyalty. Angelus learns The Mayor is immortal and can’t be killed. The team learns he’s thousands years old. Buffy/Angel playing Faith find out The Mayor plans to ascend on Graduation Day and that Faith is now his sidekick. It is an episode we don’t see coming as an audience but also really propels the season forward towards the end.

I don't believe people should look at Clark/Superboy as a familial relationship at all. Superboy is a clone; not a familial relative. Without any consent, Clark Kent/Kal-El's DNA was used maliciously for an experiment while his clone had no agency to develop beyond their programming. It's understandable why Superman and Superboy feel the way they do.

At this point in the show the characters don't know about the "other person" so they just think he is a strait clone,

it was not a good idea to go after Faith, at least one of them probably would have been killed especially those without superpowers. Buffy was retraumatized by Angel so she was not ready to go after Faith, the others (even as a whole) still would have not been able to overpower Faith without at least one or two of them dying in the process.
