I thought they were gonna kill the bird, not Earl :( ...a tennis player also killed a bird once. When this episode came out US gymnastic Simone Biles was struggling with the yips during the Olympics. So it was unexpectedly a topical episode.

Season 2 was weirdly controversial and I still don’t get why. I thought it was great and I love the fact that they took on the topic of mental health in sports, which is a major thing that’s just recently started coming to light because athletes have always been told to “tough it out” etc, so it’s been difficult for athletes to open up about their mental health struggles. Professional athletes are people. I love the fact this show highlighted this.
