I will warn you that you will most likely not like most of rebels. very very kiddy. Although it does have some good moments.

Manny D.

Ok just so they don’t get blamed: I made the list they use for the watch. I purposefully kept season 7 in airing order because I think it flows better. If you’re mad, it’s on me. Also I don’t care if you are mad, I’ve talked a bit about it on the discord already, see my comments there. Just don’t crab at the Normies about it.

Manny D.

Hard disagree. I think they’ll like it, it’s also very much not “kiddy”

Correct viewing order for season 7 is to start with episode 5

Just to clarify, Clone Wars was only really cancelled once, after Season 5. Season 6 was a special release of some finished arcs the next year, this is what people often called the second cancellation. Season 7 was the 'revival' and from the beginning it was marketed as the final season, so it wasn't cancelled again, it just ended. What Chris mentioned was some of the unfinished arcs.

Rebels is a critical tie in to other Star Wars projects that will come out. Bad Batch, while interesting, is not completely necessary.

Rebels first please....

Chaos T

If they liked Clone Wars, they'll like Rebels. It's first season is "kiddy" but so was the Clone Wars first season.

Oblivion'sLegend

It's not a "kiddy" show, but it's definitely not as dark in tone as the The Clone Wars. That's not Filoni's fault thought, the show aired on Disney XD, so they couldn't show as much. Towards the end he did try to push the violence as much as he could. Without getting into spoilers, there are a quite a lot of scenes where characters should suffer pretty brutal deaths, but they either die off camera (so that the audience doesn't see) or they are seemingly knocked unconscious instead. There can be no doubt that a lot of those choices were a result of age restrictions. Consequently, I can't recall a lot of scenes were someone gets slashed straight through with a lightsaber in Rebels, despite there being plenty of opportunities and character motivation to do so, whereas in The Clone Wars it's pretty much par for the course.

The first season is like 50% "kiddy" and after that it's full on young-adult. You will love Rebels! It's not like TCW, you can actually follow it. It's one continuous story.

Naw, good job! It never made sense to me why season 7 was out of order to begin with. Like I get it but it's dumb lol. Just make them watch Rebels next! and you are forgiven?

AvatarJordy

Please don’t let Rana quit on Rebels. I promise you all you will love it just as much. Just stick with it!

Thought 1: When I first watched these episodes I didn't really like them, it felt too contrived, too predictable. But rewatching them, I think they are great. Probably because I've seen the Bad Batch, which speaks to how good that show is. Thought 2: For how good Bad Batch is, Rebels is 10x better. More great moments in Rebels than all the new Disney+ shows combined.

I still think it's wild that Rana almost quit on Clone Wars considering what she actually does like lmao

Johnny Blue

Tell me you didn't watch the show without telling me you didn't watch the show.

Manny D.

Lol DF if I can use my powers for good, I would absolutely have them watch Rebels next. But I think the community has been vocal enough about it that at this point that I’d be shocked if they didn’t watch Rebels next

Rebels has some standalone the best episodes in all star wars but for the majority of the series its a poor show compared to Clone Wars

Andre Ransom

Season 1 yes, but season 2 and onwards is pretty consistent. Clone Wars was an anthology so it jumped around a lot, Rebels was straightforward and flowed better since we follow the same group the whole way through.

Andre Ransom

Uh that’s definitely not entirely true. The first season was “kiddy” but not so much the rest of the series. Clone Wars was the same way, even after the first two seasons they still had their “kiddy” arcs or inconsequential arcs. And just like Clone Wars, Rebels got much darker in the last few seasons compared to the first.

I miss when there were eras. I remember the reconquest of the rim, the separatist hold outs, these would of made great episode 3 episodes
