They probably won't and it's a reason why this season is pretty good. I remember having similar feelings at this point in the season. It was pretty easy for me to get on board with the Eldians taking the fight to Marley because at this point in the show Marley was portrayed as essentially Nazi Germany if Nazi Germany achieved it's goal of Lebensraum.

This is going to be rant-y, but I don’t understand Nikki’s take. The king just fled after millennia of Eldians terrorizing the world with Titans; just “Peace out! BTW if y’all come for me I’ve got this doomsday device that basically ends most life on earth”. How are you going to hold the world hostage after centuries of titans nonsense, making no effort for a reconciliation plan, no restorative justice, and be surprised that the survivors hate you and try to neutralize you. I’m convinced King Fritz plan was to bait the world into attacking Paradis and exterminating titans, because he didn’t have to courage to repair the harm done by the Eldian Empire. I like when Yeagerist make it simple; Eren is our people, that’s it. None of the, “Marley shouldn’t have attacked”, because no one in history is going to leave alone a rogue country that has always been belligerent and has weapons of mass destruction just because they’ve hit pause on the belligerence. Beyond Eren pov, to the world Eldia is still an evil empire that just bounced without much explanation, except a looming world ending threat.
