I thoroughly enjoyed both episodes. It’s important to remember that this is the most expansive universe in popular fiction ever so I was okay with the exposition and drawn out parts. I admit I had some laughs at Suraj’s expense for his guesses but they’re totally understandable and I legitimately enjoy his speculation. I’m not an expert on lore but a lot of the locations, themes, and characters are pretty removed from what we know from the PJ trilogy (just cause there’s so much outside of the trilogy). Re: adhering to the books: honestly, the nice part about original material is that…no one really knows. It’s the first time in the legendarium in decades that everyone can watch and speculate/be curious together.
