Minato teleported himself away with the truth seeker orbs after blocking them during Gai's sekizo barrage. It appears that he passed out after that, and is only just now waking up, which explains why he didn't rejoin them on the battlefield this whole time.

After 12 minutes this one became filler, but ends with canon. the last one just had flashbacks but is considered full canon

I don't mind mixed episodes as long as it moves the canon plot forward by the end of the episode. I'd take added anime original scenes over repeat footage.

I just hate how the powerful flashback moments are completely diminished due to the constant repetition. Long running anime be like that tho
