While I personally find the sex lives lives of some of these kids overstated- I think regardless of wether that's true, and regardless of these actors being in their 20s, that the constant explicit sex scenes of a bunch of people portrayed as teens is so cringe and very unnecessary. In Skins, the teens were fucking all the time, it just wasn't nearly as explicit.

Ngl as someone who suffers from depression and general anxiety this show helped me a lot. Ik ppl have their hang ups about it but this show made me feel seen. They hit on a lot of topics that I can relate to with mental health especially. As far as everything else I love me a good villain and drama and entertainment

I don't really get what the hype is with this one, I REALLY wanted to like it but I couldn't handle the teen abuse and rapey energy and justifying all that ew with "we're edgy". I gave it 2 episodes and I wasn't feeling it. Should I keep going, does it get more interesting? Or are the first few episodes enough to determine? Thanks!

I'm honestly not trying to change anyone's mind about this show, and I don't think I even could, but I do urge to watch this (spoiler free) video essay, just to be aware of why it's actually quite problematic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ata274AnP0. I watched the first season myself and wasn't too enthused about the second one, but honestly, the points made in this video make me not want to bother. Y'all enjoy it (I know many people that have), but be mindful. Just my two cents.

Honestly, the themes are hard to watch sometimes, but the acting is just too good and I grow to care about the characters so I just kept going and I don't regret it.

The actors are all amazing! I am pretty sure some teenagers have these experiences. But so far I feel like it truly lacks depth and just becomes an edgy high-quality cinematography soap opera. It will be interesting to see how you guys view it.

There was a British show called Skins from '07 to '12-'13. Euphoria is basically a shittier American copy.

Christ - I'd had this show on my radar for a minute, and jumped on the full-length to finally check it out... I was not ready. I was expecting some Requiem for a Dream shit, but it's so much harsher seeing it with kids like this.

Yessssss. I lived this life from 2012- 2015. "Requiem for a teen" The emotional realism with the color grading, lighting and cinematography are a feat in the golden era of televison. Rue is inspired by Sam Levinson the creator and son of Famous academy awards winning directed Barry Levinson. He uses his personal demons to convery a gripping but incredibly realistic narrative. Fun fact for you comic book fans Black Panther 2 was color graded and was lit by the team from euphoria. 9.5/10 pilot one of the best of the 2010s.
