We're curious to see where you stand here. Lelouch accidentally geased Euphy into getting all Japanese killed. The question is - was it his fault? Please elaborate in the comments on your choice here!

It was unintentional so I dont hold it against his character. But it still is his fault. Still gotta pay the consequences.

Jinskii

Yes definitely his fault, he even admitted it himself. But he does try to make up for it, in the most fucked up way too. It still needed to be done as his atonement.

I think it is Lelouch's fault, though unintentional. Most criticism I see in regards to this episode comes down to "It's out of character for Lelouch to say that" to which I disagree. Lelouch is a prideful guy, and a sore loser, we've seen that before. Of course he'd behave like that now that he's lost and relaxed. It was a lapse in his judgement, but one that fits his character.

I mean, it IS his fault because it literally couldn't happen without him. I wouldn't say it's as simple as "he should be more careful". It certainly wasn't intentional or malicious in any way, but it's definitely on his hands.

I dont think he is at fault cuz it happened to him its not like he did it...

Sou saetern

I mean, technically, there's a 3rd option.

Lord Winters

He was already planning to tell her to shoot someone before she talked him out of it. His Geass just made her shoot more people than he planned. Still his fault for going there with the plan in mind.

1) Lelouch knew he might become like Mao some day (unable to control his power) 2) Lelouch had hints that his power was acting up that day (with the Britannian bullies) 3) Lelouch chose to use a ridiculous example when trying to explain his Geass to Euphy (Why not say "If I told you to do 30 push-ups, it wouldn't matter how you felt about it"?)

Can’t you do something unintentionally, and it still be your fault?

Dartz0023

I mean he is at fault for existing then wtf , if a rock aimed at you hit you in the head and then bounced and killed some random person there that is not your fault that that rock hit them but it is the reason that rock hit them, also Britannia was killing people like that under Clovis so nothing new it just sucks that Euphie has to die cuz of it, but Clovis would have done that anyway if Lelouch didn't pop him so in the end if you calculate he saved much more people than he doomed.

Lulu made a mistake, unintentionally. Is anyone else to blame? No. C.C, MAYBE deserves a little blame, but at the end of the day, you boy fucked up. Plain and simple.

Mario Carranza

People seem to defend lulu but lets be honest, even if he never met Mao thus never knew of geass eventual uncontrollability or didn't experience an issue with his geass earlier, nor ever got the warning by cc to be careful. Let's ignore all that because that specific example he gave Euphy was one of the dumbest and darkest things he could have said as a hypothetical. Sure it got the picture across but damn I'm sure a genius like him could have and should have come up with a better example than "kill all the Japanese"
