Netflix up the production and story without removing the core feel of the show I love it

The overall quality definitely improved with Netflix. I liked fox’s take but it feels less serious than Netflix’s take.

Netflix. Absolutely Netflix. The tone of the show is my favorite improvement.

I just love the overall feel of Lucifer on Netflix. Made me fall in love with the characters

It honestly just isn't even a competition. The fights were horrible and far between on fox, they didn't go as far with the crazy shit happening, and the production quality wasn't near as good either.

Watchdog

Netflix has no limitations like FOX

Dante

It's very impressive that the creators were able to change the formula of the show from long seasons with 40-minute episodes to shorter seasons with 55-60 minute episodes like you would see on something like HBO. I think Lucifer works much better under this format rather than the repetitive "case of the week" episodes we got on Fox. The first 3 seasons will always have a special place in my heart, though.

Vibe

I was impressed with the writing when the show moved to Netflix. Netflix took all the side characters we loved and made them full fledged characters with their own story arcs. Dan is no longer just the guy that's the butt of the joke and something in his hand' but someone who is hurting and full of anger. Comic relief Ella has had her faith shaken and is trying to fill that void. Amenadiel and Linda are dealing with being parents to the first baby angle ever.

It’s hard to say because the nature of the show is different for each With Fox Lucifer was more of a procedural that focused on interesting cases, while character stories were woven throughout and given entire episodes when necessary Netflix however has no use for procedural shows since most of their series are binged. So procedural elements like interesting cases took a back seat in favour of more character driven episodes Both have pros and cons, but I don’t think I could pick one over the other since the goals of each were different
