I'm so glad Suraj is watching both this season and season 1 with the other crew, cuz to me, watching someone rewatching a show like this is just as fun as their first time reactions ❤

Magath did not make Gabi do her grenade plan in the season premiere. She wanted to do it to prove herself worthy of inheriting the Armored Titan, but Magath told her no. She jokingly asked if he really cared about her while trying to reverse psychology him, then he gave in. He's demonstrated all throughout the season that he cares about the kids.

That was too quick!! Lol Edging lmbo!!

Every time these episodes end i lose a little bit more of myself.

Jean confessing that he's always been envious of Eren, and not wanting him to die just yet was the best moment in the episode for me. Along with the Gabi revelation were so satisfying. Aside from the General Magath, and Pieck fake-out the action in this episode in comparison was just aight tbh. Worst part of the episode was that never ending recap at the beginning of the episode lol. Was giving me One Piece fishman island flashbacks.

Micky i FEEL YOU bro. I do. But why in gods name would Zeke give up the high ground?? He jumps off that wall, and his nape becomes that much more exposed. More vulnerable to counter attacks. If not for Magath's top-ter sharpshooting I'm pretty sure the brothers would've had no real difficulty reaching each other.

After the timeskip AOT didn't hit the same anymore. Lackluster and multiple convenient points along with it feeling rushed in a way. Like just as an example I had a huge problem with the Levi and Zeke thing. Why would Levi be so close to Zeke with him capable of blowing up either purposely or by accident. Can't say because he didn't think he would do it because that is just a stupid excuse. Plus Zeke thinking Levi for whatever reason wouldn't kill the extra people that were with him that had just turned into titans was very stupid on his part. That is just a piece of the problems I have noticed since the timeskip. Not even the better examples but I just thought of it first. Some things just feel weird. You can hate me or criticize me for it I don't really care but AOT lost its grind since the timeskip in my opinion. I just didn't feel all that much this episode. It has happened a lot with this season. Knowing how things turn out makes it even worse. Even if they change it for the anime it still has that awful stain from the manga ending. Peak AOT felt like that one half of season 3. The creator seemingly copying things from other works like "eternal champions" and after all he led up to when he hits the timeskip, while their are some really awesome plot points and hype moments, it still feels messed up in certain ways. I know I will get hate but it isn't as if I am totally shitting on this without my own proper judgement on it.

2022-01-19 19:23:15 Yeah, post-timeskip AoT went from an incredible horror/mystery box/action series with outstanding music/animation (that I love) to a masterpiece with incredibly relevant themes. (that still delivers on the hype action)

Keep that same energy for when the anime finishes…..it’s going to be a mess on the internet after the show ends

Mappa is just not doing AOT justice. They are handling too many series and starting to cut corners, This CG titan animation is somehow worse then last season smh. I really wish Studio Wit was working on this (S1/S2 studio) but the story still super captivating so there's that.

You're right! Masterpiece is an extremely strong term to use, especially when I've not seen all of it. Though even with hyperbole I didn't mean to imply that I think it's the best series of all time or that I think it's perfect in any way. I've seen/read to many series/films/books and It's the only story I've ever experienced where I when the big answers came not only did they make sense, not only did they satisfy but they made me enjoy the questions themselves. Watching the series again with the answers and they recontextualise the entire show. Scenes that I cheered for on first viewing now leave me either sad or with mixed emotions. I mean I went from liking Reiner, to hating him and then feeling so sorry for him. I've heard that a lot of people didn't like the ending, the show hasn't truly ever dissapointed me so far and it would take something quite severe to undo everything its already achieved. But who knows maybe I'll hate it so much it will retroactively sour the entire series for me (it's happened before!) we will just have to see when it happens.
