No Chris, that's not who Anakin truly is. Who he turned out to be was someone manipulated by the dark side. Darth Vader is not Anakin Skywalker. Darth Vader is who was born when Anakin was completely consumed by the dark side. Anakin was no longer there. Anakin was caring and compassionate. You could see by how he treated the ones close to him. Padme, Kenobi, Ahsoka, Rex etc. Sidious used his fear of losing Padme to manipulate him.
