The biggest reason for subs: Titans sounds like how they should be (kind of like a human scream) Eren sounds more authentic and there is no one here who can claim that his voice actor isn't legendary. And much more voice actors like Levi and Erwin. And Mikasa saying Ereh is a must

I personally think the dub is 1 of the more perfectly done dubs in anime. I think AOT voice actors are great in both dub and sub. If you’re (Suraj) suggesting to watch the episode all the way through in dub, then after the episode is over show one of the dope quotes from that episode in sub, I think that’s cool.

I think the dub for S1 and most of S2 is pretty subpar, but it gets exponentially better in S3 and 4 once the VAs start to actually grow into their roles. The problem with the AoT dub is how much they change the dialogue, especially in the early seasons, sometimes even removing foreshadowing and other plot links. Ex. in S1E23, instead of Annie saying "I failed to become a Warrior", which is a MASSIVE foreshadow for the future, her line is replaced with a throwaway line about not wanting to go down the steps because she doesn't have the constitution for it. That and the god awful Titan screeching. Shudder.

if you want to show them the japanese counterpart, i'll suggest show it after the episode. so it doesn't pull them out of the experience while the episode is running

You should just try an episode of the sub and see if they like it better (episode 13 would be a good one to try I think1). It seems weird to me to edit in pieces of the sub without just watching it. But I suppose it's better than nothing!

Hearing them say "shinzou wo sasageyo" might make the Season 2 OP song have more feeling to it when they get to it. (I was thinking that when Armin saluted.) But I don't know how it would sound mixed in with English. Maybe like what others were saying about showing them after the episode.

God please don't start switching to dub or sub mid reaction. One of the most annoying things this channel is too common with doing. Stick to One it just creates drama and disappointment not doing so. Stick to dub if you want to react better/easier. Or stick to sub if you want to follow the online mass opinion but just stop going back in fourth or questioning it. Nothing good comes from this whenever it happens. Just making a decision and sticking to your guns at the start is way better than flipping all the time.

I feel like people in the comment's are misinterpreting what Suraj asked. He didn't say they were going to switch to sub full time, he said he would insert sub for some key/iconic moments. Which, if the people on the couch are fine with, i see no reason why not. Majority of the series will still be reacted to in dub.

I guess not, but that ain't my problem + i said if people on the couch are fine with it. It's them reacting, not you lol. If you want to hear specific lines, go and watch the episode, like they say at the start of every video - this ain't no market substitute.

It’s not the lines they want hear, it’s the reactions to those lines. That’s why we are here. There are tens of sub reactions, let the dub have a chance.

Just stick with dub. Season one isn't the best but the dub gets alot better and more on par with sub. Plus there's some dub moments that I feel are better than sub

Fair. I personally don't mind if they switch even for a few moments, but i do understand why people wouldn't want it. Guess we'll have to see what they do.

It could be cool to show them clips from the sub after certain episodes, but I would definitely suggest doing it after the fact instead of editing them into the middle of the episode. I feel like doing that would be pretty jarring (at least personally) and this way they still get to experience both versions. (I could also see that getting a little annoying when watching the uncut, and having two different versions of the audio playing.)

Most people watching these reactions early are likely dub fans, so there will be zero lines that no one likes in English.
