In this episode Britannia continues its bloody war against Japanese revolutionaries, meanwhile students chase a cat around campus to win a kiss from the Student Council. It's pretty weird.

using a still to fill the space instead of nothing, really isn't it. Super distracting

Heru Muharrar

definitely agree. it's extremely distracting i had to try looking away because it was really jarring. i know everyone's trying to get around claims but that particular method is not the answer imo.

bondbond53

Definitely better just to leave the space empty in between scenes

Milly's family run the school. This is the private school. So yeah, she has some privileges.

I would join the archery club. Super excited to see y'all watch this show. You're in for a wild ride. Also, just a short recap for you guys, The world of Code Geass is set in an alternate timeline where the British aristocracy of the 1700s were ousted in England and the remaining nobility fled to America effectively removing any chances of an American War for Independence and allowing the formation of the EU much earlier in their history after the Napoleonic wars. This being the case, Britannia had access to more resources and was able to expand their empire across both North and South America and essentially creating 3 world superpowers. The Chinese Federation, which you saw a little of when Cornelia was introduced, the European Union, which you'll learn more about if you watch the movies, and the Britannian Empire. All these are locked in a 3 way war for global domination and Japan happened to be caught in the middle of it due to its rich ore deposits for the nightmare mech suits. But yea essentially it's colonization on the part of Britannia like what happened in our timeline. Just thought y'all would like to know some more of this world's history and hopefully it helped shed some light on what's going on or will go on

Yeah can you leave the space behind the footage blank? It's mega disorientating with Lelouch's face propping up between clips.

My understanding is that all clubs in Japanese high schools are classified as either athletic (name a sport), or culture (literally anything that is not a sport). Aside of their normal leagues and regular functions these clubs jointly focus on the two events you will hear about in literally every highschool set anime being the sports and/or culture fest While I'm sure it's greatly exagerated in anime of course, the student council does tend to have more of a hand in governing the student body in Japanese schools vs American probably as a means of developing more organizational skills. Biggest example of this is actually organizing the school festivals and large scale events. I don't know how far into the weeds they actually get or where there tolerance for failure is, but things like schedulinging event times, and locations, budgetary management seem to be parts of it. Every club typically has a teacher performing as an advisor so I'd imagine they're probably over the clubs shoulder making sure certain things get done and when as hands off as they can.

Is episode 7 not gonna come out on premium today? :(

I feel people overlook the fact this was his son's funeral... Like the Emporer gave this speech at the funeral for his son... wow.
