The smart pawn made it across the board, unfortunately the Game wasn’t actually chess and he remained a pawn.

Jihad Lee

RIP to the pawn

John M.

The one you asked if they were a cop was the actual commissioner once. That's why he has so many lines about how screwed up the department is - for laughs.

james moore

That was NOT mike that killed bodie. Why everyone keep saying this?

Ian M

Wasn't Michael who killed Bodie but one of the others Chris and Snoop were teaching. The first guy Mike killed is the one we see him drop at the end of the episode.

JD

Bro what the fuck are you doing?

Griff

What is the point of this comment, they aren’t daft.

Griff

It just looked like him, O-dog wasn’t a staple in the season like mike

Kamina 1

Can we just take a moment to appreciate Wee Bey's growth in this episode. Absolutely no one saw that coming 3 seasons ago. Lol I'm happy Suraj was able to get that one happy moment. Sorry about your cat Ketty....

Ethan Vaughn

So has any show had a character arc like Pryzbylewski‘s? I’m coming up blank.

Kamina 1

Because they didn't rewind and pause on the actual face like a lot of us did. Personally "in real time" i thought it was Mike as well until i double checked. Chris was in the process of doing that, but he just gave up for some reason.

Ryan

Walter White, Michael Corleone, but theirs is a fall from Grace and Mr. Prezbo’s was a journey to grace. But in terms of it having a complete Character Arc those are the only three I can come up with.

JD

People have said it, but yeah that was nooooot Michael, how small is your TV screen lol doesn't look anything like Michael. They said it shouldn't be someone he knows for his first time and they stayed with that.

Pacman24

That was not Michael who killed Bodie!! Come on chris you should know this lol

Anonymous

It wasn't Michael that killed Bodie, it was one of the other boys they were training, O-Dog. Really hard to see in the lighting of that scene though, I thought it was Michael too the first time.

Just throwing this out there, you're mad about McNulty picking up Bodie and kind of signing his death warrant but Bodie was literally saying "F Marlo" on the streets, in public, with a bunch of people watching and listening. That would've definitely got back to Marlo and he would have definitely killed Bodie regardless. Bodie was a dead man no matter what.

Naijeru

It's not Michael who kills Bodie, it's O-Dog. He's the one in the car who tells Bodie not to mess with Marlo's money when Bodie accepts Marlo's package (4x4 Refugees). Remember Chris says Michael's first kill has to be someone he doesn't know. Also why would Marlo have to remind Michael about Bodie's old corner if it was Michael who dropped Bodie on his corner?

The Normies Staff

Also, I'm under the opinion that no one is responsible for someone being murdered except for like... ya know... the murderer. Marlo killed Bodie, and it's no one's fault but Marlo's (and Chris and Snoop and the guy who shot him). -Dustin the Editor.

I've seen this episode a good number of times and I still cannot decipher the look that Kima gives Bubs outside his room. She's still a murder police and although Bubs has been her friend for a long while he did kill that boy and I don't think Kima is able to easily forgive him for that. That's my read on the look she gives him before walking away from him what are other people's thoughts on this?

Luis

Walter White doesn't have an arc. His character is static.

Anonymous

Pretty sure she just realized that Bubs could never be happy if she was in his life. She and McNulty used him as an informant, which required him to be immersed in the corner lifestyle. In order for him to move on from that, he needed someone like Waylon, not her.

Random Random

Was already said but Michael didn't kill Bodie. It was the other kid that Chris and Snoop were training earlier in the season named O-Dogg. If you remember, Chris and Snoop were teaching O-Dogg earlier to finish off their target with a headshot (exactly what he did with Bodie).

outdoorcats

To my knowledge, the 4 kids are not based on real kids. The writers have said that Stand by Me was a big influence on their arc in Season 4. Although many of the adult characters (like Carcetti) are inspired by real people, or a combination of multiple real people (like Avon and Omar), the story is 100% fiction created by the writers.

JXTN

Bodie didn't fuck up. He knew he was dead and wanted to stay true to himself to the end, and to spit in the face of Marlo and Co. He stood his ground, refusing to flinch or hide, openly defiant and unafraid of his enemies, who more than anything want people to fear them. to the end.

JXTN

The teachers aren't coasting by. They're doing the best they can with what they got, not just practically, but emotionally, over a long time. You can only stand to care so much when there's only so much you can do to help.

JXTN

Poor Dukie, can't handle the change without his support system, and withdraws from society...

Philip G.

Also RIP the actor who played Norman

John M.

Kima has shown in her own life that she's not great with emotional intimacy. I just read it as too much for her in that moment. (And in that light, it may have an impact on the way season 5 turns out for her.)

JD

Never considered this. I always read it as her feeling guilty and ashamed, mainly that she wasnt there for him and passed the buck to Herc and co. But also that she wasn't strong enough to go in the room and be there for him then. It could be a combination of all these things, really.

JD

My favourite part of Marlo asking Michael where he got that ring is that he probably thinks Michael robbed Omar at some point.

BetheSOUL

Damn, can't believe Spidey missed this shit...

BetheSOUL

Read the comment by Fahundo below, that person answered it

BetheSOUL

That's true, but fool, you're trying to reply to a comment above, you need to click reply first

BetheSOUL

Ed Burns also said there were always four types of boys in middle school: the quiet kid, the hustler, the showoff, and the stinky kid

Naijeru

That’s almost as much a tragedy as the show itself.

thenormies

Looks like we made a mistake thanks for helping us catch that!

T.Benz

It's a super common mistake! Also I really hope y'all do react to DO THE RIGHT THING--maybe as a movie night coda once you wrap season 5?

Rico

That's not Michael killing Bodie. Unbelievable miss
