I loved this episode. I too can’t wait for the next season. Such a satisfying ending. Also I don’t condemn June for finishing off her abuser. Although I do think she needs to talk to a medical professional about all her trauma. I was hoping that they would have giving her that kind of help when she arrived first especially cause she had just been bombed and was found in a concussed condition but whatever.

I think that she she didn't hold Nicole up until now was because as she said, she wants to be worthy mom as she told Emily and now that she had her revenge she feels worthy now, that's how I took it

I think the moment she decided to execute this plan she knew she was renouncing her life with Luke and Nichole, that's why before she left to kill Fred she was staring at Luke and Moira from outside the house, reminding herself of what she's giving up, she'll become a kind of a fugitive (no matter if they're gonna prosecute her or not) because she's made verbal threats of killing people, they're gonna link this murder back on her, even the finger sent to Serena is a pretty obvious hint that traces back to her, so I think the final shot is she saying good bye to Nichole and Luke, and saying that this is the path she chose, and maybe next season she's gonna create this guerrilla group to fight Gilead from the fringe of legality with all of these women from support groups and the Gilead prisoners that they just released (this might be a link to the story of The Testaments which is the sequel of The Handmaid's Tale book). I really hope next season is the last because even though I am still enjoying the story I can see that it may suffer in quality in the end if they try to stretch it too long. Thank you for your reactions this season, it made the watch much more enjoyable.

I think you have to consider the disconnect that has been widening between luke and her and the decision to kill fred was ultimately severed their connection While strengthening the connection to nick imo by working with him and him with her in a way that she has not with Luke ..trauma bonding. I think luke must feel that and it goes to that vow he made to love who she becomes Also Fred's dead baby, Fred's dead (:
