I'm not sure where the confusion is, but Jacques is Winter, Weiss, and Whitley's father. He just took their mother's name. It's literally the same as a woman taking her husband's name.

Awesome! Just remember to watch the three Season 5 character shorts before starting Season 5. There was one that you missed for Season 4 but it wasn’t as necessary. But the Season 5 shorts (and the Season 6 short when you get there) definitely need to be watched before watching the respective season.

There was only one character short for Season 4 and at this point they really don’t need to watch it. They’ve nearly finished the season anyway and that particular character short really didn’t show much. The Season 5 shorts I’d agree they should probably check out though and the Season 6 short is pretty much necessary.

Make sure to watch the character short to volume 4 and the Weiss, Blake, and Yang character short before volume 5 they are pretty much a episode worth that is cannon it will help that season make sense more with some characters

This Wizard didnt amplify their powers. He gave them powers. Before what you saw was just visual story telling. She didn't magically make plants appear...she planted seeds....-and the fence wasnt built with super speed it was a time lapse

As far as whether the Wizard is Ozpin, one connection some folks made as part of their theories way back when was that there IS one other Oz out there in fiction who just so happens to be a Wizard...It was a very popular theory. After all, his lieutenants are Glynda Goodwitch, (Scare)Qrow, Iroonwood (Tinman)...it is a very old theory as well. XD

Dunno how Marketa got an overload of information when they talked over half of it. (I mean maybe they didn't know when the characters were gonna talk. Per usual. :V) lol

because there were no subtitles and people were talking, I got headache towards the end trying to get all the info and got lost in the sauce. because English is not my first language, understanding tv audio and catch what my friends are saying is quite challenging. - marketa
