You asked what the Seperatists want? It is pretty much the problems that Queen Amidala faced during Episode I. her planet suffered from Trade Federation tax rise. Her planet suffered a blockade and a invasion/occupation. She recurs to the Senate for a solution and she only finds bureaucracy, corrpution, politics and no actual action to solve the problem of Naboo, which is part of the Republic. In the ends, she gives up on getting help from the Republic and goes back to Naboo to engage in the war, but she could just as well have joined the Separatists. Another example is the war on the Twilek planet Ryloth. The whole plot deals with te hunger and suffering of the Rhyloth people and then you see the senator of this war and hunger-ridden world and he is just a fat dude with no connection to the actual people. I am sure that many other planets went through the same scenario and got a proposal from Dooku to join the Separatists, which probably offered more independency, more support, less bureaucracy, a modern state, etc. There are examples of planets which are part of the CIS (Confederacy of Independent Systems), but are happy to be part of it, when comparing to the struggles they suffered when part of the Republic. Check Onderon under Wookieepedia for details. Short: The republic is corrupt and slow af and Count Dooku and the CIS promise more representation of the outer rim,k a better and faster system, no corruption etc. You must know that nobody really knows that Dooku is an "evil" Sith, he is just a former Jedi, aristokratic idealist who wants to change the galaxy for the better. Clone Wars as a whole must be seen as Rebublic propaganda TV. XD

So basically the separatist believe that the republic senate is corrupt and that they don’t care about the outer rim systems. They wanted to gain independence so they could have a government that truly represents all of its systems equally. The separatist weren’t that wrong. Big corporations like the Banking Clan and Trade Federation had had lots of influence in the senate and even had their own representatives. While most separatist where just people that wanted freedom, Dooku purposely put the most brutal and cruelest people in charge of the military, in order to make the separatist look evil to the republic citizens

"What are the Separatists trying to do?" Well for one, SEPARATE, from the Republic lol it's touched in the opening crawl of Episode 2 where thousands of systems want to leave the Republic with problems that started with Episode 1. It's basically a Civil War with one man orchestrating both sides. Dooku may lead the Separatist army, but that doesn't mean all Separatists are evil. Remember it's the Republic that becomes the Empire so what is good and evil isn't so black and white.

Yup. the Jedi's hearts are mostly in the right place, but the senate is a senate. Like Rome or the USA. A bunch of corrupt bureaucrats and oligarchs sucking the life out of the galaxy.

Deviant Parker

Yeah the whole good versus evil thing is pretend. It's orchestrated by Palpatine to give him a reason to eventually take over the Republic and create a new Sith empire, fulfilling Darth Bane's original plan. That being said, Disney might have a different idea of how to retroactively Disnify the reasoning behind all of this as they continue to suck the life out of Star Wars, ruining it for generations to come.

You were half asleep on this one

Couldn't have said it better myself and to add on to this about the resources thing, Count Dooku is one of the richest men in the galaxy and has the backing of the CIS not to mention regarding his motivations he believes the Jedi had become too disconnected from the force and are too involved in politics.

Chris was a malfunctioning droid for a majority of this reaction. Culminating in him randomly banging his head against the wall at 19:00 to the point where he left a dent in it. Seriously, was he okay when this was filmed lol ? Rana's immediate reaction of turning to Marketa was pretty hilarious though 😆 her face screamed "that's your man sis 👐" Glad the editor left that in, but disappointed the conversation that followed was edited out. Hondo is one of my favorite characters in the verse. It was nice to see at least one of you taking a liking to him so quickly. No surprise that it was Nahid.

Acronix

Fun fact Hondo is the same voice actor for Winnie the Pooh

Jinskii

Dang, Chris was not as funny today. What time do they film Clone Wars reaction?
