So I don’t want you guys to think Garfiel and Ryuzu are actually lovers so I’ll explain that via someone else’s Reddit comment. “young gar = young gar relative = ryuzu "his" (should be 'her', goddamnit crunchyroll) = ryuzu lover = subaru Basically, ryuzu is like garfiel's grandma, and she was making a joke about how garfiel would be angry if he knew that she was meeting her lover (subaru). The lover joke was because they are meeting in some hidden house, isolated from everything alone by themselves, kinda like secret lovers or something.” Source Godhole34 (that name deeply bothers me btw) And also the reason satella showed up last episode is cause he kept saying return by death to echidna over and over And since echidna if you remember in his first meeting with her gave him some envy witch factor via her body tea to increase his resistance if you remember she said “now we can talk leisurely” after giving it to him. But even though satella couldn’t do anything in that realm of echidnas castle of dreams (as she called it last episode) I think just by the sheer number of times he said he could return by death to her. Satella still sensed it and got angry she couldn’t do anything so she came over there by some means Also I think the reason the witch looked exactly like Emilia is probably because satella possessed Emilia . (Which is why she was not in the area where suburu was, (I could be wrong on this assumption but I think given satellas connection and obsession with suburu, combined with emilias torn state during her first trial she was able to jump into Emilia somehow)

What wasn't explained well in this episode is when the part Garfel mentioned the black mist covering everyone and when Subaru asked if if happened to Emilia. Garfs silences with neither agreeing or denying has made Subaru suspect that the Witch of Envy had possessed Emilia's body and went out to kill those close to Subaru for consequences for talking about Return by Death with Echidna. And yes, I know. The amount of praising and complements from a lot of girls to Subaru is weird. Though remember. All of them have only seen or heard the good and heroic side of Subaru. Not seeing his failures and past sufferings due to the restarts obliviously.

LMAO I like how Rana said Garf sounds like Bakugou in dub when in actuality, Garf and Bakugou actually got the same VA in SUB lol. Not like yall would know what Bakugo's SUB would sound like but a cool thing to bring up
