The ending to this episode really broke my heart, especially going into this season thinking they might start to give more wins to these women. There’s still a lot of season left, but I could go for the building of some positivity here soon 😅

June definitely has plot armor... I liked that she got out and wouldn't have endured another season of her as a handmaid, but after all she's done to Gilead there's no way they'd sent them to the colony with just an Aunt and a driver, they'd be heavily guarded by an army or something. Also the reasoning for keeping her as a Handmaid after everyone from commanders to Aunt Lydia vowed to kill her when they capture her is weak, the cons of having a revolutionary handmaid alive outweigh the pros of having more children. I think a better way to explain why Gilead didn't just kill her when they got to her would have been that Luke started from Canada an international campaign to make it harder for Gilead to execute her in the eyes of the international community, or something more to do with world affairs and politics.

what do they expect nick to do in this situation. he cant just go in and take june out of the facility, he doesnt have the authority. it wouldnt help june either, it would just get nick killed and nothing changes for june. her only play to stay alive was to give up the location of the handmaids. nick just wants to keep june alive and he knew how to make that happen. also towards the end, nick cant just get june out, once again he doesnt have the clearance to do so. let alone get the most wanted person out with him.
